How to Install Android display App onto Tablet & Connect to Clover station
For Restaurant Live (R-Live) there are two Apks (Application programs):
App on Clover station/mini (other FAQ explains how to install Clover station APK from Clover AppMarket)
Orders display App is downloaded from RetailCP support website onto each Android kitchen display Tablet.
- Kitchen display Tablets must be Android OS (operating system).
- This display app should work with any Android Tablet or smartfone.
- On Android device 'Settings' / 'Security' select "Allow Install of Unknown Apps"
Step 1: Display Tablet APK is downloaded from https://retailcp.ie/liverestaurant
- Use Tablet browser such as Firefox
- Open https://retailcp.ie/liverestaurant & select (APK Download)
- Follow on-screen notes to Install & Open Apk on Tablet.
- Select USA or EU, based on your location:
Step 2: To get Clover IP address & Port No so that you can connect each display Tablet:
On the Clover station R-Live Apk page, under 'LAN' you find 'Server' LAN IP address and Port no.
If below screen is not showing [ Start server ], then select [ LAN ] button top right:
The IP & Port No from Clover station Apk are used by display Tablet APK to 'connect' to Clover station.
When each display Tablet is connected, Clover station 'LAN' page shows their IP addresses, as above.
Step 3: How to connect Android display tablet to Clover station:
When APK is downloaded-installed on each display Tablet, select App settings (3-dots on top right of Tablet App screen):
- Select option "LAN"
Get the IP Address & Port No from Clover station R-Live 'Server', step-2 above:
Enter the 'Server' IP address & Port No. Select 'Connect to server'.
Apps on display Tablet & on Clover station will confirm when they are connected.
Step 4: On Display Tablet under 'Settings' (3-dots on top right of Tablet App screen):
If kitchen staff only will use display Tablets, then select (A) to only have 'Open' orders view.
But if front counter sales staff want to know when kitchen have completed orders-items, then select (B).
That allows staff to toggle between 'Open' & 'Completed' views.
On the 'Comleted' view, can mark items-orders as 'Delivered' when dispatched to customer.
Selecting 'Delivered' moves the order items off the Tablet view.
